Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has endured a troubled launch, with a large number of players being unable to even get into the game. Microsoft says that server issues have been resolved, but the backlash has nonetheless resulted in the game being hit with an “Overwhelmingly Negative” user rating on Steam, with only 18 percent of the 3,000-plus user ratings on the platform being positive at the time of writing.
All of that is, unsurprisingly, being reflected in the game’s player numbers on the platform. As per SteamDB, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has seen a peak of 24,863 concurrent players on Steam at the time of writing, which is a decent figure in isolation, but significantly lower than what 2020’s Jamie Vardy s penalty cancelled out a goal on his first Premier League start from Laurent Depoitre as Leicester City earned a battling 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town. Huddersfield had edged a first half that produced few moments of quality at the John Smith s Stadium and the match burst into life shortly after the break as Depoitre – who had made just one league substitute appearance this term – calmly slotted in a 46th-minute opener after outmuscling Harry Maguire. But it proved a short-lived lead as four minutes later Vardy netted from the spot for the second consecutive week after Andy King was crudely felled by Chris Lowe. Huddersfield looked the most likely to grab a winner thereafter and will feel aggrieved that Elias Kachunga saw a goal ruled out just …
Mikel Arteta said there was no excuse for Nicolas Pepe s unacceptable red card and admitted Arsenal s lack of goals is a concern after they clung on for a 0-0 draw at Leeds United.
Winger Pepe was given his marching orders early in the second half at Elland Road on Sunday for headbutting Ezgjan Alioski off the ball.
Pepe s dismissal was the fifth red Arsenal have been shown in the Premier League since Arteta took charge in December 2019, at least two more than any other club.
Leeds struck the woodwork three times and Bernd Leno produced a string of superb saves as the Gunners held on for a point which leaves them 11th in the table.
Arteta was not impressed with Pepe, whose contact with Alioski saw him sent off once referee Anthony T…

Italy’s Euro 2012 preparations were dented by the cancellation of the friendly game against Luxembourg, and now the match against Russia will be Azzurri’s first and final test before the start of the European Championship. Dick Advocaat’s side shared spoils with both Uruguay and Lithuania, but a win at Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich would be a great way to finish the first phase of their preparations.
Cesare Prandelli’s Italy looked really good in the Euro 2012 qualifiers and they had no problems qualifying for the final tournament, but they have since encountered numerous problems. The Calcioscommesse match-fixing scandal came at the worst possible time as the squad were starting their preparations for the European Championship and we have yet to se…

Former Celtic boss Gordon Strachan believes the Scottish champions face a nearly impossible task to beat Barcelona in the Champions League.
The former Manchester United midfielder took on Barca when he was in charge of Celtic in 2008, and is a fan of their possession-based style of play.
How to beat Barcelona? Well, you visit a church or chapel – whatever your preference is – and just hope, Strachan told the Daily Record.
Everybody has tried to take Barcelona on and they ve all tried different systems. But trust me, it s good players who make the difference. Good men win games.
When we played Barca in 2008, that was when everyone realised this was a special team. It was hypnotic football. It was passing we d never seen before. They just kept the b…
