5. Birdman (directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu). Annoying, obnoxious, and almost suffocatingly self-satisfied … and still just about as much giddy cinema-dork fun as you can possibly imagine. I tend to dismiss most of the tortured-artist themes here and embrace the overwhelming fear and insecurity, but your mileage may vary.
