However, Lundstram popped up 10 minutes from time to snatch a dramatic winner for the hosts, who will play Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville on May 18.

PSG boss Luis Enrique expects entertainment in Champions League semi-final with Dortmund

Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund served up plenty of entertainment in the Champions League quarter-finals, and their last-eight meeting promises more of the same, says Luis Enrique.

Both sides came back from first-leg defeats to reach the semi-finals, PSG winning 4-1 in Barcelona after a 3-2 loss in the French capital and Dortmund downing Atletico Madrid 4-2 to recover from their loss in Spain.

I think that is the way it went in the quarter-finals based on the playing style of Dortmund and the way that we play, PSG head coach Luis Enrique told a press conference.

I think it could be a wonderful spectacle, not just for the two fan bases, but for everybody who loves football. I think there will be goals, given the quality and the ability to reach the op…

While play was then allowed to continue, the Real Sociedad forward confirmed he had reported racist abuse to the referee, describing the incident as incredibly sad .

Of course it is sad for the moment, but at the same time we were prepared for such things to happen, even if it does not help in that way, Isak told C More.

I think I could handle it well and the team s support was incredible too.

We did well and it is incredibly sad that such things happen, but what should we do?

Nagelsmann announces Germany´s provisional Euro 2024 squad

Julian Nagelsmann has named a 27-man provisional squad for hosts Germany ahead of Euro 2024.

The biggest surprise in the squad was the inclusion of a fourth goalkeeper, as Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nubel received his first senior call-up.

Mats Hummels is one of the big names left out despite helping Borussia Dortmund on their way to the Champions League final, while Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka is also absent once more.

Julian Brandt, Niklas Sule and Karim Adeyemi miss out on a place in the tournament, while Serge Gnabry and Timo Werner are both out through injury.

After winning just one of his first four games in charge, Nagelsmann changed things in March and was rewarded with back-to-back victories.

Shaw regrets playing through injury for Man Utd with Euro 2024 participation uncertain

Luke Shaw regrets playing through the pain barrier for Manchester United, as the England left-back hopes to feature at Euro 2024.

Shaw has been selected for Gareth Southgate s squad heading to Germany despite not having featured for club or country since February.

The 28-year-old went off injured while playing for Man United against Luton Town, a fixture that he has admitted was a mistake to play in.

If the manager asks me to play, I m never going to say no. But I shouldn t have played, Shaw said.

It s kind of everyone s fault. Partly my fault, partly the medical staff.

I came back too quickly and I actually ended up getting another injury in my hamstring. I did push to do everything I can to be fit for United.

Jurgen Klopp: Injured Thiago Alcantara will play for Liverpool again this season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisted Thiago Alcantara would play again this season but did not know whether fellow midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai would be fit for this month’s Carabao Cup final.

Thiago was injured after playing his first 10 minutes of the campaign in Sunday’s defeat at Arsenal, while Szoboszlai is sidelined after aggravating a hamstring problem which caused him to miss most of January.

With Mohamed Salah (hamstring) still potentially two weeks away from rejoining training, Ibrahima Konate suspended and flu affecting the squad – Joe Gomez did not train on Thursday – the German jokingly threatened to throw out of the room anyone who suggested the options he had at his disposal were a luxury.

Jürgen Klopp provided updates on the fitness o…
